| Description: | The Tru2way Applications Engineer will be the lead technical resource supporting ground breaking product development between Intel�s Digital Home Group and key US Cable MSOs, OEMs and Ecosystem partners, involving the convergence of the Digital Television and Internet experience. You will be primarily responsible for driving and supporting the integration of Intel�s Media Play Technology based SOC solution with Tru2Way and OEM SW application stacks, supporting OEM products through CableLabs certification and US based cable MSO lab and field trials. Daily responsibilities range from developing and presenting training materials and representing customers/partners technical needs within DHG�s product development team to providing hands on technical support in resolving customer product issues and developing solutions to meet customers� product requirements. Light to moderate domestic travel to customer and partner sites will be required.
Utilization of strong customer orientation/communication skills and a proven track record of a disciplined approach toward managing complex engineering projects will be key to this role. |
| Qualifications: | The ideal candidate will have a BSEE or BSCS with a minimum 10 years experience with embedded SW development involving System on a Chip (SOC) based products, including system level debug in a lab environment. A minimum 5 years experience with OCAP/Tru2way SW stacks, DOCSIS/DSG and supporting HW including RF components such as tuners, de-modulators is also required. A minimum of 5 years experience with driving products through a complete CableLabs and/or US cable MSO certification cycle is preferred. Minimum 5 years C/C++ programming skills and technical background with embedded operating systems internals (Linux preferred) and a minimum of 3 years hands on experience of of Video, Audio and Graphics processing. Finally, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in an applications engineering/customer technical support role. |
