Description:The Enterprise Power Path finding (EPP) team of Digital Architecture and Planning (DAP), Digital Enterprise Group is responsible for path finding new technologies to reduce power in servers. Our group analyzes power and performance of Intel's latest power management technologies and identifies areas of improvement. Our group also analyzes link traces to identify opportunities to reduce power.

We have several projects under investigation, including putting idle server to sleep state and reduce uncore power in server CPUs .

Specific assignments will vary based on your interest, previous experience and availability.
Qualifications:You should be a Master's or Ph.D student majoring in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate would have a good background in C/C++ programming on Linux either by means of extensive course work or as part of ongoing research work. Required skill sets:
• Good grasp of computer architecture and operating system
• Understanding of computer power management concepts
• Problem solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in BIOS and Driver is preferred
• Hands on experience in using logical analyzer is a good plus
