Description:The position described below is a job profile that is generally representative of current or future openings at Intel. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Building FPGA based prototypes for nonvolatile solid state disks and nonvolatile disk caches that will lead to production Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) implementations
- Contributing to Micro-architecture Architecture Specification (MAS) development, design, test method and environment development, validation, synthesis, hardware verification, and performance analysis
- Solving and debugging high speed signal integrity problems using standard lab knowledge on motherboard design as well as good understanding of IA-32, IA-64 and mobile architectures
- Designing board level and system level architecture
- Performing basic circuit simulation
Qualifications:You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a Ph.D. is preferred) with six years experience. Additional qualifications include:
- More than three years experience in motherboard design
- Strong hardware design skills as measured by successful delivery of digital designs using Very High Level Design Language (VHDL) or Verilog*
- Experience with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas across disciplines
- Working knowledge IA-32 system architectures
- Working knowledge of CAD design tools preferably Cadence* design suite
- Good understanding of high speed design principles
- Experience in circuit board design would be an added advantage
- Good understanding of motherboard manufacturing, validation and debug methodologies (In-Target Probe (ITP) knowledge would be an added advantage)
