Fort Huachuca is a United States Army installation under the command of the United States Army Installation Management Command. It is located in Cochise County, in southeast Arizona, about 15 miles north of the border with Mexico. Sierra Vista, which annexed the fort in 1971, is located south and east of the post, and Huachuca City, is to the north and east.
In addition to the US Army Intelligence Center, Fort Huachuca is the home of the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade, which conducts Military Intelligence (MI) MOS-related training. The Army's MI branch also held the proponency for unmanned aerial vehicles due to their intelligence-gathering capabilities until April 2006, when the Aviation branch activated the 1st Battalion, 210th Aviation Regiment. Additional training in human intelligence (e.g. interrogation, counter-intelligence), imagery intelligence, and electronic intelligence and analysis is also conducted within the 111th.
Sierra Vista: Located 75 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista serves as the main commercial, cultural and recreational hub of Cochise County. The city is easily accessible for those wishing to drive or fly in. It is a short drive from Interstate 10 on State Highway 90 with a scenic view of the mountains and grasslands. For those wishing to fly in, Sierra Vista has its own airport (Airport Code FHU).
At an elevation of 4,623 feet surrounded by mountain peaks reaching nearly 10,000 feet, Sierra Vista enjoys a moderate four-season climate with abundant sunshine. The picturesque setting among the Huachuca, Dragoon, Mule and Whetstone Mountains confirms its Spanish name meaning Mountain View.
Job Description: Incumbent prepares classroom and equipment for training; Instruct the Prophet Analyst Course, which trains primarily the initial entry trainees to perform signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Analyst duties in a tactical environment using the Prophet Control Spiral I system; Develops, edits, and maintains lesson plans and training material relevant to the current operating environment; update the Automated System Approach to Training (ASAT database to ensure lesson plans are current; maintains proficiency and working knowledge of ongoing worldwide military operations.
Required Skills: PROPHET operator or PROPHET Control operational experience. Experience in PHOPHET unique software, networking, ASAT tool, ARCGIST; completion of the SAT and SGI course and PROPHET operational and analytical experience in deployed locations such as Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, Middle East.
Desired Skills:
• Minimum of one tour in a TRADOC instructor billet duty.
• Three months contingency operation experience in OIF/OEF or the Balkans.
• Baccalaureate Degree, preferably in Political Science/International relations/Psychology.
• Graduate of the Defense Strategic Debriefers Course.
• Graduate of the G2X course.
• Graduate of the DIA Collection Management Course.
• Foreign language proficiency at a minimum of 2L/2R level as set out in the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)
